300 guests, among them Bavarian State Minister for European Affairs Emilia Müller and the Ambassador Sir Michael Arthur, joined Simon Kendall, Consul-General in Munich, on 18 June to celebrate the Queen's official birthday at the Park Hilton Hotel.

Two Yeomen from the Tower of London had been given permission by Her Majesty to attend the festivity in Munich.

The Band of the Brigade of Gurkhas performed in front of the hotel and entertained the guests with music ranging from traditional music to Greek sirtaki and the Bavarian national anthem.

The Queen's Birthday Party was sponsored by BMW, GlaxoSmithKline, ITT Defence Ltd. and the Hilton Hotel Munich Park.
