Visit to Germany by The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall (20/04/2009)
Their Royal Highnesses the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall began their visit to Germany today with lunch at the residence of the German Federal President, Horst Köhler, before visiting an interfaith football match in the Berlin district of Kreuzberg and a seminar on integration and social mobility at the British Embassy. This evening, the Prince of Wales was awarded the German Sustainability award.

In a statement to the press on the visit to Germany later this month of the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, the British Ambassador Sir Michael Arthur stressed that the UK regards Germany as an indispensible partner in tackling the challenges we both face today. This visit will highlight this partnership in the areas of climate change, sustainable growth and integration.
