The Global Gateway is the first port of call for schools interested in developing their international dimension, with partner finding database and guidance for partnerships, links to funding and CPD resources, lesson plans and a section for school leaders.

The Global Gateway website is one of the initiatives launched in conjunction with and to support the DfES's current international strategy for schools. It focuses on three goals

• to equip children, young people and adults for life in a global society and work in a global economy
• to engage with our international partners to achieve their goals and ours
• to maximise the contribution of our education and training sector, and university research to overseas trade and inward investment

The Global Gateway allows schools around the world to work together on projects that inspire and educate.

The aim of this collaboration is to help children understand how other people live and how their choices affect the world around them.
