VISAS
If you are a non-EU passport holder living in Germany you may need a visa to visit the UK.
How do I apply for a UK visa in Germany
UK Border Agency and the British Consulate-General Düsseldorf work in partnership with a commercial organisation: WorldBridge. WorldBridge handles all applications for UK visas in Germany.
Where can I get information?
You can find out whether you need a visa, and how to apply, through WorldBridge's website www.visainfoservices.com. WorldBridge also provides information through a telephone and email enquiry service.
If you are calling from within Germany, you can get information about how to obtain a visa by calling WorldBridge’s user pay phone service at 0900 1231010. Trained agents will provide you with visa application information. There is a fee of €2 per minute to make this call.
You can also use WorldBridge's pay phone service at +49 345 688 7195. Trained agents will provide you with visa application information. There is a fee equivalent to US$14 to make this call. You can only pay for the service (using a secure, automated system) with a credit or debit card with the Visa, MasterCard or Maestro logo
E-mail enquiries can be sent from the WorldBridge website. All the information provided is supplied and approved by the UK Border Agency.
Please note that the Embassy or Consulates are unable to provide visa information to personal callers. Please contact WorldBridge as described above.
Do I have to pay?
Website and email information is free of charge but there is a charge for using the telephone service.
Where can I get advice?
WorldBridge and its staff cannot give you advice on how to complete your application, or what type of visa you should apply for, as their staff are not qualified to give immigration advice. If you need help with your application or advice about the UK's immigration rules and requirements, you should seek advice from a qualified immigration adviser. In the UK these are immigration advisers regulated by the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC - www.oisc.gov.uk) or legally qualified professionals regulated by designated professional bodies. Their websites are:
Law Society of England and Wales
Law Society of Scotland
Law Society of Northern Ireland
Institute of Legal Executives
How do I submit my application?
WorldBridge manages Visa Application Centres in Düsseldorf, Berlin and Munich, where you should submit your application and your biometric fingerscans.
Who decides whether I will get a visa?
Your visa application will be processed and decided by UK Border Agency staff. Neither WorldBridge, nor any of its staff play any part in the decision-making process, nor can they influence the outcome of your visa application. If any member of staff employed by WorldBridge claim to be able to influence your application you should inform the British Consulate-General Düsseldorf as soon as possible.
