Simon Kendall, British Consul-General Munich
Simon Kendall was appointed British Consul-General for Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg in March 2008. Prior to this posting he was First Secretary and Head of Trade and Investment at the British Embassy in Berlin.
Simon Kendall was born in 1972. In 1996 after graduating from Sheffield University, he joined ECGD, the UK government's official Export Credit Agency. In 2000 he was appointed Assistant Trade Commissioner to the British Consulate-General in Hong Kong. Later in 2002 he took up the post of International Group Manager for Russia, Ukraine and Belarus in UK Trade and Investment.
He is married to Clare Kendall, a UK government economist, and has two young daughters. His hobbies include running and hiking.
