Your application will be forwarded to the UK’s Regional Passport Production Centre in Düsseldorf for processing.

Courier fee – Each customer will be required to pay a courier fee to cover the cost of sending the application to Düsseldorf and for the return of the passport from the UK:

You should pay by credit card using the credit card form. The cards we accept are Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards. We are unable to accept Maestro cards, American Express, JBC or Diners’ Club cards.
YOU MUST NOT SEND CASH
Please ensure that you submit photographs that meet our criteria - see the IPS rules for photographs. Failure to do so will delay the processing of your application whilst we wait for correct photographs to be submitted.
We aim to process the new passport within four weeks from the date the fee is taken by/in Dusseldorf and the application contains all of the information we need. Failure to provide all of the required documentation will result in your application being delayed or returned. If it is a first time application, or you are replacing a lost or stolen passport, you should allow at least six weeks.
We would remind customers that travel should not be booked until a passport has been issued and received by you. We cannot accept responsibility for any costs incurred if travel is booked and subsequently cancelled before you have received your passport.
Your passport will be returned to the British Embassy in Baku. You will be contacted by the Embassy when your passport is ready for collection.
Please note, if you are applying for a second passport you will need to submit a letter from your employer requesting the reason why you need a second passport and certified copies of the bio-data page of your original passport. Consular Section can provide a certified copy service. There is an additional charge for this.

All foreign legal documents submitted with a passport application (such as birth/death/marriage certificates, divorce papers, change of name documents, affidavits, etc) should be translated into English.

If you need to travel urgently and your normal passport is not available you should contact the British Embassy, Consular Section in Baku at + 994 (12) 4377878.
If you need to travel urgently and you cannot wait for your full replacement passport application to be processed, the Consular Section of the British Embassy in Baku may be able to issue an Emergency Travel Document (ETD) to travel back to the UK or any other country which accepts a UK ETD. Please note they will not be able to answer general passport questions or give information on passport applications in progress.
Please note that we will need to make a number of checks before issuing an ETD. You should contact the British Embassy by phone or in person to discuss your needs.

The charge for an Emergency Travel Document is £95.00 payable in cash in local currency. We are not normally able to process ETDs outside office hours.
